InSubnet.EXE Utility
(c) 2000-2001 Pedago Interaktiv
Ab & Anders Gustafsson
Purpose:
------------------------------
Checks if the machine belongs to a certain subnet and returns
an errorlevel. This is handy in batchfiles, login-scripts
and ZEN distribution scripts, where you have to check a
lot of ip addresses. While you can do this using IF-statements
and the Shift operator >>, the resulting code tends
to be unwieldy and slow.
This utility will read the machine's
IP-address and compare it to the subnets defined in subnets.txt.
If a match is found it will return an ERROR_LEVEL of "1",
zero otherwise.
You can use this in a creative
way to distribute apps according to which subnet the machine
is connected to, or do other nice things in scripts or batchfiles.
