GroupWise Shared Folder Maintenance Program

Shared folders can be an administrator's headache when the owner of the folder is going to leave the company. Dave has found a way to make our lives a bit easier once again. But don't let the name of the program deceive you. While it was created as an update to the Transfer Folder Utility, it has some cool applications for administrators dealing with regular folders as well.

  • List all the folders within an individual account, including being able to search for folders by name (really helps with those "I've lost my Trash folder" pleas)
  • List any shared folders, either for an individual account or an entire post office, detailing the folder owners and the sharing lists for each folder.
  • List all the document references held in an individual account. As the built in archiving process within GroupWise doesn’t touch document references, it can be useful to have a list of what document references were held within an account.
  • Set explicit document sharing rights to document references held in shared folders rather than being reliant on the implicit view document rights granted through the shared folder itself.
  • Transfer shared folders from one account to another, or even to a GroupWise resource.
